Verify three separate promises

No credit card, no deposit and no excess are three different claims. An operator may accept cash but still require a deposit, or waive a deposit while leaving contractual liability. Ask for each answer separately.

  • Which payment methods are accepted at pickup?
  • Will any amount be blocked or retained?
  • What can still be charged after damage?

Keep proof

Save the operator’s current terms and written confirmation. Check whether the offer changes by vehicle group, driver age, rental length or protection package. If the public terms are unclear, treat the fact as unknown rather than favorable.
